China  Huadian  is  now  a  leader  among  non  oil  and  gas  SOEs  in  securing  shale  gas  and  inshore  LNG.  Huadian  acquired  stakes  in  a  Canada-based  LNG  project  and  won  claim  on  five  shale  gas  blocks  in  Hubei,  Hunan,  Guizhou  and  othe r provinces.
