LUSAKA June 16 -- Lusiwasi Hydropower Station is located in Central Province, Zambia. The facility’s first automatic monitoring and protection system is provided by Guodian Nanjing Automation Co., Ltd. Months of hard work were devoted into the completion and commissioning of these apparatus and the three power units at the facility.
The project is the first of its kind undertaken by Guodian Nanjing Automation Co., Ltd. in Zambia. Upon commissioning of the facility, the current power scarcity facing local schools, hospitals and other production units will be effectively eased. Smooth operation of the first unit of the Hydropower Station has fully demonstrated leading the technologies and outstanding quality possessed by Guodian Nanjing Automation Co., Ltd. The company will give full play to its professional advantages and contribute to the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative with actions. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Guodian Nanjing Automation Co., Ltd. has carried through precise measures on both prevention and production, fulfilling the responsibilities of state-owned enterprises. While strengthening prevention, it actively and orderly promoted project resumption.
