China Huadian is accelerating its pace of optimizing power sources and assets structure. It improves thermal power generation development, vigorously develops hydropower and wind power, actively explores nuclear power and solar power, and develops gas-fired power projects and distributed energy stations at areas in accordance with local characteristics. By the end of 2015, CHD total installed capacity has exceeded 135 GW, with clean energy accounting for one-third of the total, units of 600MW or above accounting for 48.03% of total coal-fired units. Wujiang Company, the first cascade hydropower developer in China, has been constructed. With 6 distributed energy stations being constructed, and participation in Fuqing nuclear project in Fujian province, and Sanmen nuclear project in Zhejiang province, CHD has now formed an energy structure featuring hydro and thermal supporting each other, and synchronous development of wind, nuclear and gas.
